SEO Content Specialist

We have over 11 million users all over the world who have logged over 10 million catches in our app. We’re growing fast, both in our social network and in the company, which is why we’re looking for an SEO Content Specialist.

We’re looking for a creative SEO content specialist to help us drive traffic and build brand awareness through creating engaging content. This role will focus on creating content strategies with SEO in mind that help drive organic traffic, increase on-site engagement, and encourage users to convert. 

To succeed in this role you must be creatively minded, have an understanding of the fishing space, and be outgoing to form relationships with partners, influencers and more.  You may also be called on to assist with other copywriting related tasks for sales and email campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Act on content strategy for the Fishbrain domains.  This includes our blog, content that lives on shop, product related pages, and external content. 
• Work with internal teams to help achieve company goals by creating complimentary content (for example, creating content in advance of important sales, or promoting new app features, interviewing new brands)
• Identify opportunities to use our data to create blog posts, infographics or more.
• Prioritize content based on value, seasonality, and other metrics.
• Establish relationships with partners to write about their brands, products and more.
• Regularly analyze content performance.
• Assist with editing and publishing content from external contractors.
  
  

Requirements

• Understanding of the SEO space, especially as it relates to content
• Understanding of creating engaging content using calls to action.
• Professional writing skills
• Understanding of the fishing industry and space, and willingness to learn
• Ability to work hours that coincide with CET and US Time Zones (ideally work hours in E.S.T)
• Internet-savvy creative that can identify topics that will generate interest among target audience.
• Outgoing and able to form and maintain relationships with partners.
• Ability to spot, analyze and take advantage of trends.
  
  

Some Preferred "Nice to Haves"

• Digital PR or Communications experience or study
• Knowledge of commonly used SEO tools such as SEMRush and AHrefs
• Knowledge of analytics tools such as Google Analytics
